What is a home or residential inspection?
Now that you’ve made an offer on your new home you usually have up to ten days for your inspection to be completed. We recommend that you schedule your appointment as soon as possible. This can be done from the scheduling menu on this web site or by calling your local BrickKicker inspector.
We conduct all inspections in accordance with the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI). This organization maintains the highest standards and continuing education requirements within the industry. Our home inspections include a wood destroying organism or what is often called a pest inspection. To learn more about pest inspections select pest on the menu tool bar.
We inspect all of the following:
Structural System
Foundation, floor support system, wall system, and roof support system.
Exterior System
Roof, siding, foundation, garage, grading, deck, walkways, and driveways.
Interior System
Rooms, kitchen, bathrooms, attic, doors, windows, and basement
Central Heating and Cooling (HVAC)
Condition of the heat and cooling source, ducting, flue system, and air filters.
Electrical Systems
Service panel, overcurrent protection, ground fault systems, grounding, receptacles, and lights.
Plumbing Systems
Water supply pressure, supply piping, drainage piping, faucets, and water heaters.
Water Penetration
We inspect all visible locations for water penetration and use moisture meter detection equipment.
Gas Leak Detection
The furnace, range, fireplace, and gas piping are checked for leaks using gas leak detection equipment.
As an extra precaution, BrickKicker inspectors test all kitchen appliances.

What does the report look like?
A comprehensive narrative is provided with each commercial inspection. They are easy to read, and accurately describes the condition of the property inspected. Digital photographs are included with the report.

How much does a home inspection cost?
Residential inspection rates are based on the size of the home to be inspected. Please contact The BrickKicker inspector in your area for a quote.
